  • How does it all work?
    Fill out and submit the Picnic Questionnaire form. We will get back to you within 48 hours to confirm availability. A 50% retainer is required to book your picnic date and time (without this deposit, I cannot save or reserve your desired date). The remainder of your payment will be invoiced to you via email and due 1 week prior to your event.
  • What days/times can I have my picnic?
    Our picnic hours run between 11 am to 8 pm seven days a week. Fill out and submit the Picnic Questionnaire Form to request you desired date and time.
  • At which locations can I have my picnic?
    Indy Spot Picnics is based out of McCordsville, IN however, we love hosting picnics all over the Central Indiana area such as Indianapolis, Westfield, Carmel, Broad Ripple, and more! Whether the spot is in your own backyard or at a park, we want to make it the picnic set up of your dreams! If your location happens to be outside of our typical service area, we will add a standard mileage fee to your pricing quote and invoice.
  • Can I bring my own food?
    Yes, please! We recommend it! We ask that you please avoid red liquids/wines in order to preserve our linens. We do have a few snack and beverage options on our booking page and are working on adding even more in 2023.
  • What is your cancellation & reschedule policy?
    A 50% retainer fee is due upon booking to reserve your date/time. This retainer is NON REFUNDABLE. Second payment to be due 1 week prior to event date. May cancel up to 2 days prior to event with refund of second payment. Cancellations placed with less than 48 hr notice are subject to only a 50% refund of second payment. Rescheduling is always preferred and will honor this for up to 6 months. We do not have any control over the weather. If weather is not favorable for the day (too windy, too much snow, too hot/humid, too wet) we recommend you have a back up (indoor or covered) location in mind just in case.   • What if it rains on the day of my picnic?
    As Hoosiers, we know that the weather can change unexpectedly! We request that all bookings have a backup location, indoors or under shelter where we can set up in the case of poor weather on the day of your picnic. Please also see our policy on cancelling or rescheduling if you wish to have your picnic on a different date.
  • Can we leave our picnic if we are in a public space?
    You are responsible for all equipment provided by Indy Spot Picnics during your picnic booking time. Please do not leave the picnic unattended to avoid theft or damage by third parties. If you wish to leave early please contact us and we will return to clean up as soon as we can. We kindly ask that you wait for Indy Spot Picnics to return for takedown before leaving the picnic setup.
  • What if we're running late?
    We cannot extend your booking time for your group. If you arrive late you will be able to use the picnic for the remainder of the time that you are booked for.
  • Can I make changes to my booking?
    Please let us know 7 days before your picnic if you would like to make any changes to your package, theme, add-ons, or number of guests so we can make those changes. If you choose to remove an add-on, lower your guest list, or decide on a package lower than the originally paid amount, we will not provide a refund or credit.
  • Can I book a picnic on a date thats less than 7 days away?
    Yes! We will check on availability for your requested time/date and confirm if we are available. A $60 rush fee will be added for the short notice.
  • Is alcohol provided?
    Indy Spot Picnics is not licensed to provide alcohol. You are solely responsible for following all state and local ordinances and laws regarding alcohol consumption at your picnic site. Indy Spot Picnics is not liable for any damages, injury, or death as a result of alcohol consumption.
